1970

Founded as PT Decorient Indonesia by large Dutch contractors (a.o. Hollandsche Beton group). The name Decorient stood for Dutch Engineering and Construction in the Orient.

1977

Interbeton (subsidiary of HBG) acquired majority share of Decorient. The local shareholder (H.E. Kowara) founded AKI (Indonesian Contractors Association) in 1973 and served as its chairman for 10 years.

1979

New Dutch Embassy Compound including Erasmus Huis located at Kuningan, Jakarta was awarded to Decorient.

1980

Kupang - Soe - Kafemenanu Road Construction. A road construction project spanning over 100 kilometers, connecting three cities in East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT).

1989

Coal Loading Facility of Kaltim Prima Coal, Sangatta - East Kalimantan. Design and build of jetty wharf and construction of 1,000 man-camp.

1990

Bank Dharmala Office Building (Now Mayapada Tower 1)

1993

Mattel Toys Factory at Jababeka, followed up with phase 2 and dormitory construction.

1994

Westin Hotel Surabaya (Now JW Marriott Hotel).

1995

Hyatt Regency Hotel Yogyakarta.

2002

HBG merged with Royal BAM. PT Decorient Indonesia was renamed to PT BAM Decorient Indonesia.

2005

Margo City Square Shopping Mall, Depok, West Java.

Reconstruction of Malahayati Port, Aceh, post tsunami.

2006

PT Summarecon Agung, Tbk awarded Decorient with the contruction of The Summit Apartments (6 towers) and Mall Kelapa Gading phase 5 (Harris Hotel).

2008

Arjoto Wisanto was appointed as President Director.

2009

Tempo Scan Tower at Kuningan Jakarta.

2010

Production of Precast Concrete element to be exported to Australia and Papua New Guinea. Started with Gorgon LNG, then continue with PNG LNG, Wheatstone LNG, Ichthys LNG.

2015

Built Unilever Headquarters, a world-class green office in BSD City.

New US Embassy Compound at Menteng, Jakarta.

2017

Tanjung Jati B Coal Fired Power Plant Unit 5&6 Coal Unloading Jetty at Jepara, Central Java. Subcontractor to Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding.

2019

IKEA Jakarta Garden City, among Southeast Asia's Largest IKEA Stores. Completed construction in pandemic time.

2021

Completed management buy-out from BAM; rebranded as PT Decorient Partaya Indonesia.

2024

Awarded with Summarecon Mall Bekasi 2.

Completed a few industrial building projects (Sampoerna, Alba Tridi).

2025

Launching of the new identity.

Arjoto Wisanto

President Director

An Indonesian civil engineer with a Master's degree from Delft University of Technology, Netherlands (1988). Since 1989, he has led major prominent projects such as Wisma Bank Dharmala Realty, Pondok Club Villas, AT&T, Ascott, and Westin Hotel Surabaya.

Antoine de Winter

Director of Operations

A Dutch engineer with over 25 years of experience. He started his career at Hollandsche Beton Groep (HBG) and was first assigned to Indonesia in 1995 for the Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta. His international and local expertise has been key to the company's success.

Benny Handoko

Director of Strategy & Business Development

An Indonesian civil engineer who graduated from UNPAR in 2001. He joined BAM Decorient Indonesia in 2015 with over 10 years of project management experience. His key projects include Unilever Headquarters, Tanjung Jati Unit 5&6 Jetty, and IKEA Jakarta Garden City.

Edwin Gunawan

Director of Finance

Graduated from NUS Business School (Hons.) currently also holds the position of Director of Finance and Operations at PT Indochemical Citra Kimia. His strong connections with leading banks across the region provides a solid financial foundation to support the company's goal.
