A contract to deliver the Extension of RRP Building in Karawang, West Java for PT. HM Sampoerna, Tbk.

Decorient was appointed to deliver a new QA Laboratory building and Bridge Corridor with total gross floor area of 1,900 sqm on an existing HM Sampoerna (Philip Morris International) Plant of approximately 58 hectares. QA Laboratory in Karawang Plant will be PMI’s 2nd laboratory worldwide after PMI Italy Laboratory which was built with the highest quality across the PMI’s global facilities.

The New QA Lab Building is designed by PT. Gistama for Civil, Structure & Architectural and PT. Metakom for Mechanical Electrical & Plumbing.

The Project will take 7 months to complete and partial Taking Over to allow for Client’s process instrument laboratory installation will happen in early 2023. As the main contractor, Decorient’s scope of works will be Civil, Structure, Architectural and MEP works. 

Construction will happen adjacent to the operational facilities so safe coordination and integration between construction programme and operational needs would be the challenge of this project.
