Situated on the boundaries of a swamp, now guaranteed as safe working environment and lasting stability.

After a long-standing relationship with PT Indochemical Citra Kimia (ICK) as jetty builder, Decorient was awarded on a design and construct basis, the company’s new head office. The eight-storey building is situated in North Jakarta. The contract included an extra floor on top of the building that is being used as a guest lounge, with a Teppan Yaki cooking table and karaoke equipment.

Scope of work

The contract comprised design, preparation work, earth work, structural and architectural work as well as mechanical, engineering, and power work for the eight-storey office building with a total floor area of approximately 8,900 square metres.

Soil conditions

The building location is situated on the boundaries of what was formerly a swamp. The unstable soil condition of this reclamation area required special measures to guarantee a safe working environment and lasting stability.
