Decorient was trusted with the construction of RPP Building Phase 4 at HM Sampoerna Karawang Plant, KIIC, Karawang, West Java. This is the second project awarded to Decorient in the span of a year by PT HM Sampoerna, Tbk (Philip Morris Indonesia).

The first project was construction of a laboratory building (RRP Phase 2) which was completed in June this year while the second one was construction of a few buildings and utilities as part of Phase 4 expansion of RRP Building. The RRP production building will be extended, and a new warehouse will be constructed in the complex. The contract also consists of design and build scope for amenity buildings. Project commenced in August and will be completed in 12 months’ time.

Groundbreaking ceremony was held on September 21st, 2023, at HM Sampoerna Karawang Plant. The event was attended by executives from PT HM Sampoerna, Tbk i.e. President Director Vassilis Gkatzelis, Director Operations Johannes Hendrikus Bink, Head of RRP Manufacturing Arsenii Rudnev, and Head of Engineering Ahmad Mashuri. Turner & Townsend as Construction Management Services Consultant also attended the event.

Mr. Gkatzelis and Mr. Bink gave speech on the importance of safety in the construction of these new facilities and the high expectation on the project team to deliver it safely with excellence quality and on budget. The groundbreaking ceremony was ended with the symbolic signing of Safety Commitment by the management and staff of Sampoerna, Turner & Townsend and Decorient.
