We are now looking for a Scheduler who would like to advance their career with a growing company.
Key
Activities
- Develop tender and project programmes to an appropriate level of detail
- Develop a Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) early in the tendering process capturing the scope of works categorised by work packages and responsibility allocated to the team to ensure no scope gaps/creep.
- Identify construction activities sequence is in line with the WBS that reflect the constructible work methods and the schedule durations / logic are realistic and achievable as well as aligned with estimators.
- Resource and cost load programmes.
- Evaluate supply chain programmes and integrate into project programmes.
- Introduce and evaluate risk in programmes.
- Check programme robustness.
- Manage the updating and monitoring of progress within the working programme.
- Support construction teams in the use of short-term look ahead programmes and participate in collaborative planning sessions.
- Establish and maintain internal and external project controls reporting and dashboards.
- Work with commercial teams in the preparation of project reports.
- Introduce and analyse change in the working programme.
- Preparation of change entitlement programmes.
- Produce and communicate programme information in a variety of forms, using routine and bespoke programme outputs.
- Act as a key member of tender and project teams, informing and influencing decision making.
- Maintain awareness of latest construction methods and techniques.
Who are we
looking for?
- Higher vocational education/Bachelor degree/ Higher National Diploma/ Diploma.
- 2-3 years in construction with preference for a contractor.
- Proven experience in construction planning with responsibilities for planning and/or site execution inclusive methods and equipment application throughout the project life.
- Understanding materials handling, technicalities and methods of construction and have a good knowledge of construction law and various forms of contracts.
- Ability to communicate clearly, orally and in written English. Possess good presentation skills and a reasonable knowledge of additional foreign languages is desirable.
